Global Logistics System (HK) Co., Ltd announced the readiness of its EzyCustoms system to support the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) mandated requirements to file air manifests in the new Automated Commercial Environment (ACE).
The US CBP is moving its legacy Air Automated Manifest System (AMS) function to ACE on 1 May 2015. The transition requires changes to business processes and the CBP Air Manifest Interface Requirements (CAMIR) documentation, including new system validations and the increased validation of submitted data to ensure compliance. GLS has worked with its pilot customer airline to complete the compliance testing of EzyCustoms well ahead of the implementation date.
ACE is the new modernized automated process designed to become the electronic single window providing the ability for the trade community to submit required information to facilitate the importation or exportation of merchandize through one place at one time, reducing duplication and paperwork wherever possible, and to enhance border security, improve faster decision-making and the release of shipments.
EzyCustoms provides a single integrated platform connecting our airline customers with international customs authorities for shipment declaration and clearance. EzyCustoms is one of the GLS EzySuite products providing the airfreight community with electronic data exchange services.
